Blue Ridge Power (BRP) is seeking a Contracts Specialist I to join our team! The Contracts Specialist I is responsible for managing Request for Proposal (RFP) document reviews and administration of EPC contracts. The candidate must be attentive to detail, a problem-solver, and able to operate in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple assignments.
The Contracts Specialist I reports directly to the Sr. Director, Commercial Contracting.

What You’ll Do:
Coordinate and organize the document review process from RFP to contract execution.
Manage Subject Matter Expert (SME) exhibit review tracker, SME exhibit review assignment, and SME exhibit review schedule.
Compile SME exhibit review comments and present to RFP team (Project Execution, Estimating, RFP Managers/Writers) for integration into proposal.
Manage BRP RFI tracker and organize responses through Owner RFI tracker platform.
Manage RFP Document handoff to EPC Commercial Team and provide support to this group during EPC contract negotiations upon project award.
Attend and assist with meetings with both internal and client stakeholders.
Support RFP and Contracting Process optimization and improvement efforts.
Support contract administration activities for EPC Contracts.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project, and Outlook

Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Legal or Engineering related fields or equivalent experience required.
Working Environment and Physical Demands:
This position can be remote, with travel to BRP office locations in Asheville or Fayetteville, NC as required.
The position works in an office environment.
Travel up to 10-15% when needed.
Must be able to sit/stand at a desk and utilize a computer for extended periods.
May require lifting/carrying up to 20 pounds.
