Contracting Manager What you will be doing:

The Contracting Manager is responsible forsourcing and management for contracts within the purchased servicesservice line, which will include multiple contracts orrelationships. Specifically, Contracting Managers will beresponsible for:

  • Supplier and Member Relationship Management
  • Support with Development of Opportunity Road Map
  • Full (End toEnd) Sourcing Process
  • GPO and Member Contract Negotiations
  • Project Status Tracking and Report Out to MemberKeyResponsibilitiesResponsibility #1- 20%Supplier and MemberRelationship Management
  • Manage supplier relationships, contractsand contract categories with small to mid-tier suppliers.
  • Resolvesupplier related issues regarding contracting activities.
  • Remainpoint of contact for the supplier to member and Premier.
  • Conductregular Business Line Reviews with member.
  • Develop performancemetrics and own relationship management with member andsupplier.

Responsibility #2 – 40%Negotiations

  • Run completesourcing process including but not limited to data gathering, RFPdrafting and release, response analysis, pricing negotiations andcontracting.
  • Conducts negotiation meetings with suppliers,ensures standardization of processes and deliverables to SourcingCommittees, shares subject matter expertise, and develops andmentors department staff.
  • Responsibility for managing thecompetitive sourcing process related to optimum contract pricing,terms, and conditions.

Responsibility #3 – 40% Contract Operational and Financial Management

  • Solidunderstanding of contract management processes and systems.
  • Serveas the single point of contact for the contract and responding toquestions from Premier’s field team and member hospitals
  • Reviewand analyze supplier sales data.
  • Assist in training new supplierson Premier policies and procedures.
  • Support the management of theamendment process. Able to create amendments with some guidancefrom manager, while ensuring contract modifications are in the bestinterest of Premier and its Members.
  • Accurately forecastadministrative fees for contracts.
  • Ensure supplier compliancewith sales reporting and fee payment
  • Monitor accounts receivablefor portfolio.
  • Monitor contract usage to maximize Premieradministrative fees
  • Routinely negotiate with suppliers toincrease contract value via mitigation of price increases, pricedecreases, expansion of classes of trade, or other contract value.
  • Support and provide input on initiatives to increase contractrevenue

Premier’sinternal salary range for this role is $80,000 – $148,000. Finalsalary is dependent upon several market factors including, but notlimited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education,unique skills/experience, and geographic location.
