We are looking for a Contracts and Credentialing Specialist to join our growing team! The Contracts & Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for timely and accurate credentialing activities, including interactions with insurance companies and keeping accurate records. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented professional to join our team! This is a full-time remote opportunity – Eastern Time Zone preferred. Salary starting at $55,000/annually.

Responsibilities:

Collect, review, and process initial and re-credentialing applications for healthcare providers, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all required documentation. Verify healthcare providers’ licenses, certifications, work history, education, and training against primary source documents to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and organizational policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider credentialing files, tracking expiration dates, and re-credentialing timelines. Coordinate with insurance carriers and healthcare organizations to ensure providers are successfully enrolled in networks, maintaining eligibility for participation. Serve as the point of contact for providers, insurance companies, and other internal departments, addressing credentialing inquiries and resolving issues. Track expiration dates for provider credentials and licensure, initiating timely re-credentialing processes to prevent lapses in certification or network participation. Assist in preparing for and supporting internal and external credentialing audits by ensuring records are accurate, complete, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

High school graduate/GED required; Bachelor’s degreee preferred 1-2 years experience with credentialing Computer experience with billing software Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
