Job Description The primary responsibility of the Sr. Contract Manager is to oversee the entire contract lifecycle management processes within Advanced Auto Parts. The Sr. Contract Manager is responsible for negotiating, drafting, and reviewing contracts to ensure compliance with legal requirements and organizational policies. This role will work closely with Sourcing, Legal, Risk Management, InfoSec, Business stakeholders, and Third Parties to ensure favorable contracts are executed and maintained. Key Responsibilities Manages entire contract lifecycle, ensuring timely compliance with contractual obligations, and managing any changes or amendments Maintains Contract Lifecyle Management tool (Ironclad) Maintains accurate database of records and documentation related to contracts, including contract versions, amendments, correspondence and other relevant data Collaborates with internal stakeholders and external parties to negotiate contract terms and conditions that meet the organization’s objectives while mitigating risk Prepares and drafts contracts, including all relevant terms and conditions, statements of work, amendments, etc. to ensure clarity, accuracy and consistency Conducts thorough review of contract documents to identify risks and inconsistencies, recommending changes and improvements Generates reports on contract management activities, highlighting key risks and areas of improvement to support decision-making Knows contract compliance best practices Partners with Sourcing and Legal to make the contract management process more effective and efficient Mitigates common contract management risks, such as financial, legal, and security risks Develops strong working relationships with colleagues across departments and seniority levels Adheres to all federal, state, and local business laws and regulations and company policies Other tasks as necessary Key Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required Juris Doctor degree or an international equivalent is preferred At least 7 years of experience as a contract manager, paralegal, or similar role at a law firm or in-house legal department is required Communicates effectively and has strong written and verbal communication skills Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders and has strong interpersonal skills Excels at multi-tasking and has excellent project management, time management, and organization skills Learns new skills and software quickly Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills is highly desired Prior retail experience is strongly preferred California Residents click below for
