- CAM is responsible for administrative functions relating to CAM (Common Area Maintenance/Operating Expense) Reconciliations within the Lease Administration Department, including, but not limited to audit/analysis, basic to complex level calculation(s) of CAM reconciliations.
Responsible for the review and processing of all CAM/Operating Expense Reconciliations for the company’s portfolio of properties.
Responsibilities to include:
Compare and evaluate operating expense reconciliation invoices received. Verify expenses being charged follow all lease provisions, to include caps, base years and exclusions; verification of calculations pursuant to said provisions. Analyze and identify substantial increases or decreases year over year. Confirm monthly escrows paid towards expenses are accurately reflected in the reconciliation invoice. Responsible to effectively communicate as well as request pertinent information and/or explanation with Landlord’s representative on any discrepancies found during review. Preparation of CAM/Operating Expense reconciliation packages timely, with a high level of accuracy and detail. Open and distribute mail as needed. Support the lease administration department, internal/external departments and field operations of the company, demonstrating the highest quality of customer service. Qualifications Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook. Ability to learn and work in multiple software systems. Strong analytical skills. Effective and efficient organizational skills. Ability to multi-task, completing time-sensitive tasks per department processes & timelines. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills that promote participation, teamwork, and development required. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of contracts, understanding of lease agreement terminology and/or past experience in real estate and/or lease administration.
