Prepare for andactively participate in contract negotiations with customers andkey subcontractors. Establish and maintain a Project-specificChange Management Plan aligned with customer contracts; monitor andmanage changes throughout the project lifecycle. Develop andexecute Change and Claim strategies for both inbound (suppliers)and outbound (customers) activities. Collaborate with the ProjectDirector/Project Manager to develop and implement policies andprocedures for contract management and administration. Set up andmaintain an active Contract Management system, including thepreparation and collection of evidence to ensure GEA is fullyprepared for potential mediation, arbitration, or courtproceedings. Act as the liaison with the Legal Department to alignon contract issues and maintain full transparency regardingcontract status. Monitor the project schedule by tracking actualprogress against contractual milestones, identifying risks, andrecommending mitigation strategies. Support the Project Director innegotiating contract modifications, including pricing, deliveryschedules, and payment terms with customers. Participate ininternal and external project review meetings, providing updates oncontract changes and claim issues related to customers andsuppliers. Coordinate and lead all claim-related activities withinthe project, ensuring consistent reporting and alignment with LegalDepartment guidance. Support the Procurement team duringnegotiations with key subcontractors, focusing on claim preventionand mitigation. Actively contribute to and participate in claimmeetings and negotiations. Work closely with the Project Directorand Contract Manager to ensure cohesive project execution.
Coordinate legal, fiscal, and insurance-related matters relevant tothe project. Contribute to the preparation of final projectreports, including detailed analysis of lessons learned, providingfeedback for continuous organizational improvement. Your Profile /
Qualifications Qualifications:
Associate Degree in BusinessAdministration, Engineering, or a related field; a Bachelor’sdegree is a strong advantage. Minimum of 10 years of experience ina similar role managing large, complex international projects.
Project Management and Procurement/Supply Chain Managementexperience required. Proven track record in contract changemanagement, claims, and dispute resolution. Deep understanding ofchallenges across all project phases: engineering, procurement,fabrication, installation, and commissioning. Experience workingwithin complex, matrixed organizations. Exposure to manufacturingand/or service operations environments.
Skills:
Strong ability toforesee and proactively mitigate risks that could impact GEA’sprofitability. Strategic mindset with the ability to understand thebigger picture and long-term project impacts. Highly organized withstrong planning skills; able to stay ahead of deadlines and managemultiple priorities simultaneously. Team-oriented with excellentcollaboration and communication skills. Structured, detail-focused,and execution-driven approach to work. Position Name – The typical base pay range forthis position at the start of employment is expected to be between$120,000 – $160,000 per year. GEA Group has different base payranges for different work locations within the United States andbase pay will vary based on experience.
