Anticipated SalaryRange:

$64,486.00 – $105,000.00. The salary range for this role isintended as a good faith estimate based on the role’s location,expectations, and responsibilities. Job DescriptionEnlighten is looking for a Project Controller that participates inthe planning, tracking, analysis and reporting of performance onprojects of varying contract type, size, complexity and level ofrisk. The Project Controller is a key member of the program teamand works directly with the Program Manager to help define theproject’s goals and objectives; and recommends actions to improveprogress and performance. The Project Controller will havesignificant interface with the Financial Manager, Program/ProjectManagers, senior technical staff, all subcontractors, as well asother functional organizations including contracts, finance,accounts receivable, subcontract management and procurement. Thisposition is a hybrid role based in our Columbia, MD office. LI-JG2Essential Job Responsibilities Provide cost monitoring, reportingand analysis support to Program Managers (PM) and Finance Managerfor a portfolio of programs. Lead project set up in compliance withcontractual terms, conditions and requirements. Prepare quarterlyEstimates at Complete (EAC) and meet deadlines for submissionrequirements. Identify project risks and opportunities and provideanalytical contribution in working resolution with PM, Contracts,Procurement and Finance/Accounting. Prepare financial Contract DataRequirements (CDRL) for programs. Ensure contractual requirementsare met and customer financial deliverables are accurate and ontime. Perform ad-hoc financial analysis on the contract asrequested by PMO and others. Monitor funding status, providingreliable and timely notifications. Support Accounts Receivable asrequired during the billing processing. Monitor billing status andunbilled issues. Support Accounts Payable by receiving, logging,and approving subcontractor invoices. Support Period End closeschedule by submitting accruals and additional journal entries asrequired. Analyze profit risks and opportunities and advisemanagement on the optimal path forward. Ensure adherence toGenerally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley,FAR and all company policies and procedures as they relate tocontract performance and financials. Create, review, and submitPurchase Requests (PRs) for subcontractors, including thedevelopment of Statements of Work and Single Source Justifications.

Facilitate proactive communication with PMO, Business Operationsand Subcontracts Administrator throughout the PR process. Monitorfunding status of all subcontractors, providing reliable and timelynotification of funding status by line-item detail as required.

Additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications SecurityClearance – A U.S. Government Security Clearance is not required onfirst day, but will be processed for one; U.S. citizenshiprequired. Can also consider candidates with a current Secret levelclearance. 3 years of Program Control or related and progressiveexperience with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, or a relateddiscipline is required with a BS in Business Administration,Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or related field; 1 year relevantexperience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma orequivalent and 7 years relevant experience. 2 years of ProgramControl or related experience is required. Candidates must possessa strong background working with multiple government contracttypes: FFP, FPLOE, T&M, CPFF and hybrid contracts. Strongworking knowledge in Excel and overall MS Office suite and aworking knowledge of relevant software applications. Strongorganizational skills, able to handle multiple tasks at one timeand meet deadlines. Must be analytical, possess strongcommunication and presentation skills and have the ability to workindependently as well as a member of a team. Strong customerservice focus. Must be able to work a hybrid schedule out of ourColumbia, MD office. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedulechanges as needed. Preferred Requirements Significant exposure toFirm Fixed Price (FFP) contracts. Prior experience working within asmaller, fast paced and growing company.
