Credentialing Specialist (Contract – PMHNP Focus, Remote) Blue Vest Healthcare Nashville, TN • Remote We’re seeking a skilled Credentialing Specialist for a s hort-term, contract-based project to help our outpatient mental health clinic complete credentialing with TennCare and commercial payers. This is a one-time remote role ideal for someone with experience credentialing PMHNPs (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners) and mental health providers.
Responsibilities:
Complete and submit payer applications for our group NPI and associated PMHNP(s) Handle credentialing with TennCare MCOs (BlueCare, Wellpoint, UHC) and major commercial insurers Update and manage CAQH, NPPES, and related provider directories Track application status and follow through until credentialing is confirmed Provide guidance on best practices, forms, and common delays
Qualifications:
Proven experience credentialing PMHNPs or behavioral health providers Strong knowledge of TennCare, CAQH, NPPES, Availity, and payer portals Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and reliable Excellent written and verbal communication
