Basic Job Functions:

Vulcraft Alabama is seeking a leader for the position of Loading Supervisor. The successful candidate will be a leader capable of ensuring VAL delivers on our commitment to become the world’s safest steel company. The candidate will lead and develop a capable and motivated team that achieves the operational excellence necessary to meet the technical and commercial needs of our customers. This will require the candidate to lead with a clear vision, strategy and empower their team to execute and meet all objectives in safety, quality, costs, productivity, reliability, scheduling, profitability, and team development. Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively throughout the division leadership team to inspire the entire operation. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all.

Minimum Qualifications:

Prior leadership experience
Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
Ability and desire to work in a hands-on, industrial environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior leadership experience as a supervisor in manufacturing industry
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field
Bilingual
Previous experience with SAP ERP system
