As a Managing Partner(Proprietor), you must be a fully functional expert in allprocesses and positions in both front and back of the house, inaddition to managing P&L cost centers. This is a hands-onmanagement position that will require most of the time spentworking directly with employees throughout the restaurant as wellas interacting with customers.
Specific duties as a Managing Partner(Proprietor) will include: Managing all employees to maintain high employment qualitystandards consistent with the Outback Steakhouse Brand (includeshiring, development, counseling, promotion, discipline andtermination as appropriate) Maintaining all employee files and ensuring that all requireddocumentation is complete and accurate Ensuring that the restaurant is fully staffed, and employeesare trained in all aspects of job responsibilities Implementing effective security protocols to always ensure theongoing safety of both our employees and guests. Respond to complaints, with the goal of turning dissatisfiedguests into return guests Developing initiatives to build sales, profitability and guestcounts Verifying that all menu items are made according to the recipeand that presentation is up to Outback Steakhouse standards Adhering to company standards and service levels to increasesales and minimize costs Maintaining proper inventory levels and placing orders withinestablished guidelines Managing restaurant P&L Enforcing safety and sanitation, maintenance and regulatorycompliance for the entire restaurant and premises Ensuring that all operational basics and standards are adheredto with total commitment and passion Overseeing all restaurant administrative requirements includingcash handling, completion of guest liability, property, casualty,workers compensation reports, and governmental compliance Ensuring that the Outback’s Principles and Beliefs arecontinually taught and practiced Leading the restaurant and its employees in active communityinvolvement with a strong presence at events, clubs, andorganizations Demonstrating high ethical judgement, adhering to standardslaid out in the Company’s Code of Ethics policyJob RequirementsAs aManaging Partner (Proprietor), dependability, self-reliance,passion for great food and exceptional customer service isessential. A combination of a winning personality with professionaldedication and a team-oriented attitude is key. Strongorganizational, time-management and prioritization skills are alsoimportant attributes for this role.
Specific qualifications for theposition include: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a managerial role, GeneralManager experience preferred Full Casual Dining or Casual Plus environment, preferred Demonstrate ability to deliver outstanding guest service andhandle guest complaints professionally Knowledge of maintaining high standards of food quality andservice. Proven ability to recruit, train, and motivate a team,fostering a positive work environment and high employeeretention. Hands-on experience in all facets of front of house and back ofhouse Availability to work a flexible schedule (nights &weekends) Minimum 21 years of age with legal authorization to work in theUnited States Must qualify to hold a state liquor license Must be able and willing to work in the front-of-the-house andback-of-the-house Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred Computer proficiency (particularly MS Office Suite and Outlook)preferred Bilingual, a plus Ability to relocate, a strong plusWe value diversity and areproud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
