Job Description
Position Summary… Senior Director, Merchandising Operations – Bedding Relocation Required to Bentonville, AR We are seeking a Senior Director, Merchandising Operations, to join our team! This leadership role is critical in directing inventory plans for complex strategic business units, driving third-party supplier relationships, developing and prioritizing key business strategies, guiding strategic direction on corporate initiatives, and developing and implementing strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled workforce. What you’ll do… Di rect In ventory Plans for complex strategic bus in ess units, review annual, monthly, weekly, and daily projections aga in st actual results, monitor category markdown budget. Drive Third-Party Supplier Relationships , develop relationships and in terface with vendor leadership personnel, review and analyze contract negotiations and contract management. Develop and Prioritize Key Bus in ess Strategies , manage cross-functional in itiatives that impact store and corporate processes, develop merchan di s in g programs and in itiatives, customer and company communications, and associate tra in in g content. Guide Strategic Di rection on Corporate In itiatives , build and ma in ta in relationships with senior leadership, conduct cost-benefit analysis to evaluate potential strategies, prioritize corporate goals and objectives . Develop and Implement Strategies to Attract and Ma in ta in a Highly Skilled Workforce , di agnose capability gaps, recruit, select, and develop talent, support mentorship, workforce development, and succession plann in g. What you’ll bring: Review in g and approv in g markdown proposals , develop in g prioritized markdown recommendations for senior management when markdowns exceed budget, align category in ventory and turn plans. Ensur in g that budgets and f in ancial commitments are met , ensure that operational expenses are properly managed . Mak in g recommendations for system support developments , recommen d i n g merchan di se priorities for store operations, translat in g merchan di se strategies for assigned departments in to executable programs for store operations. Ga in in g alignment from cross-functional bus in ess areas on bus in ess processes, drive accountability for implement in g corporate in itiatives and achiev in g di v ision goals with in cross-functional areas. Promot in g a customer environment , demonstrat in g adaptability and sponsor in g cont in uous learn in g , and leverag in g the capabilities of new and exist in g talent. Walmart . The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
