The Opportunity Be the inaugural program director responsible for building anew EM residency program at an established teaching institution inPensacola, Florida. Work with Vituity’s reputable academic team to leave a legacyand create a high-quality emergency medicine training program toaugment the regional physician workforce. Enjoy the support and resources of a master affiliation withFlorida State University. Responsible for the overall development, administration,organization, evaluation, teaching, resident supervision,precepting, and scholarship. Responsible for establishing the clinical and educationalassignments and schedule of the residents to achieve theeducational objectives of the program and meet ACGMErequirements. Responsible for maintaining program accreditation in accordancewith the ACGME and all other accrediting agencies. Establish the strategic direction and aims of the program andresponsible for the standards, quality, and reputation of theprogram. Oversee and engage with all Residency Core Faculty, Clinicalfaculty, and Program Coordinators. Remain clinically active with 0.5 FTE support for nonclinicalGME work. Administer and maintain an educational environment conducive toeducating residents in each of the ACGME competency areas.

RequiredExperience and Competencies Board Certified by

ABEM/ABOEM.

Unrestricted Florida State Licensed physician as a MedicalDoctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)required. Three (3) years of experience either as a Core Faculty Member,experience in Residency Program Development required, or otherleadership acceptable by the

ACGME EM RC.

Experience with leadership/mentorship of residentsrequired. Five years of core faculty experience in a residency programpreferred. Ability to stay updated with the latest advancements, newdevelopments, research, guidelines, and best practices in therelevant field/specialty. Strong teaching skills to effectively educate and mentorresident physicians. Strong communication skills to effectively interact withresidents, fellows, faculty members, and other stakeholders.
