No Typical hours of work: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Monday – Friday Nights and weekends as needed for event/build day coverage Reports to Director of Corporate Partnerships Job Summary/Objective The Development Manager plays a key role in advancing Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside’s (HFHTBG) mission by cultivating and stewarding a portfolio of individual, corporate, and foundation donors. This role is responsible for securing new sponsors, retaining and upgrading current supporters, leading corporate and specialty build days, and supporting logistics and sponsorships for signature events.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of annual donors of individuals, corporations, organizations, and foundations to be determined in collaboration with the Director of Corporate Partnerships and Chief External Relations Officer. Build relationships to retain, renew, and upgrade current donors. Identify, cultivate, and secure new corporate sponsors and individual donors for events, specialty builds, team build days, and programs. Ownership and leadership of assigned specialty builds in partnership with the development team. Leads the corporate team build program and recruitment of new sponsors. Collaborates with the Programs and Construction departments to ensure top-tier customer service for home build and team build sponsors to deliver an exceptional experience. Leads sponsorship efforts for signature events. Supports the Director of Development with signature event logistics. Liaison for outside event vendors for researching, securing, and coordinating with the Finance team for proper and on-time payments. Maintain up-to-date information on current prospects, partners, and sponsor records in the donor management system and provide appropriate reporting to the development team. Act as staff liaison for Development events, specialty builds, and programs. Represent HFHTBG at community events and Habitat events. Skill in organizing resources, multi-tasking, and establishing priorities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Presentation skills to both large and small groups. Skilled in the use of software applications, including MS Office Suite. Familiarity with donor database systems. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Education, Experience, and Attributes 5 years of sales or fundraising experience, preferably working with corporations and groups. 3+ years of event management experience. A bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information. Ability to speak and write English fluently. Builds constructive and effective relationships.
