Description:

The Program Director is the senior-most leader of our residential department, responsible for overseeing the quality, compliance, and culture across all group home operations. This person is both a visionary strategist and a boots-on-the-ground leader, supervising Program Coordinators and DSPs guiding the Residential team, and shaping day-to-day execution that aligns with regulatory standards, organizational goals, and our core values. Role & Responsibilities:

Resident Care & Compliance Oversight Ensure all residents receive safe, respectful, and person-centered care in accordance with APD regulations (Chapter 393, Rule 65G). Monitor medical appointments, medication administration, and health protocols across homes. Ensure resident rights are upheld and protected through staff education, supervision, and transparent reporting. Review incident reports for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance; provide guidance to Program Managers on resolution and trends. Collaborate with behavioral and clinical teams to ensure behavior plans are implemented consistently and ethically. Ensure preparedness for licensing inspections, audits (e.g., Qlarant), and emergency drills. Staff Supervision & Leadership Development Supervise and mentor Program Managers, ensuring consistency, accountability, and growth across all homes. Lead weekly 1:1s and team huddles focused on coaching, problem-solving, and performance feedback. Collaborate with People & Culture on training, onboarding, and certification tracking for DSPs and program staff. Monitor schedules and staffing patterns to maintain coverage and service continuity. Identify opportunities for team development and morale-building rooted in emotional intelligence and respect. Operations, Documentation & Logistics Monitor service documentation, financial compliance, and client files across homes for accuracy and audit readiness. All items needed are obtained through the Oasis Hub and they receive a credit card with limited funds for emergencies Oversee facility upkeep and supply tracking, ensuring all residential environments remain clean, welcoming, and functional. Analyze trends across programs and build systems that support long-term efficiency and compliance. Cross-Departmental Collaboration Serve as a connector across departments ensuring alignment between Residential, Clinical, ADT, and People & Culture teams. Support transitions between homes, day training, hospital stays, or discharges in collaboration with support coordinators and clinicians. Lead and participate in interdepartmental meetings, representing Residential Services and contributing to agency-wide initiatives. Leadership & Culture Building (“The Acceptance Way”) Model compassionate, values-aligned leadership through daily interactions, coaching, and decisions. Take initiative to identify problems, implement solutions, and set high standards for service and communication. Maintain a calm, confident presence during crisis or conflict; coach others through resolution with empathy and clarity. Champion a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement, with the resident experience always at the center.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, or a related field (Master’s preferred). At least 6-8 years of experience in developmental disability services, with at least 2 years in a leadership or program management role. Deep knowledge of APD regulations, Medicaid waiver programs, and residential licensing standards. Demonstrated success in team supervision, coaching, and cross-functional leadership. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
