Career Management Center in alignment with the overall goals of the Terry College of Business. The Director will lead the CMC staff in equipping students with comprehensive career management skills and set the vision for student success in the job search and beyond. Duties/Responsibilities Duties/Responsibilities Provide General Management for the Career Management Center
Examine, benchmark and assess recruiting and market trends with MBA employers and colleagues at peer and aspirant programs, share findings with other graduate business programs within the Terry College
Develop and manage the CMC budget, allocate resources and oversee project management
Determine appropriate staffing, including positions, skills required to fill them, and division of responsibilities among Career Management Center staff members
Recruit, hire, supervise and evaluate Career Management Center staff. Communicate job expectations, monitor and evaluate job performance, and enforce University of Georgia and Terry College of Business systems, policies, and procedures
Lead staff management and continuity planning, resource allocation, strategic planning and budget planning
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development of CMC staff as related to job duties and responsibilities Effectively plan and manage career-related curricula, events, and other projects required to achieve departmental goals, including but not limited to scoping desired outcomes, timeline, processes, and implementation structure
Collaborate with other departments within the College and University
Track and report employment outcomes per the MBA Career Services & Employer Alliance Standards Percentage of time 40
Duties/Responsibilities Provide Career Education and Advising
Provide Career Management Center resources and support to students with goal of competitive placement/employment results of students as measured by the College and the national MBA and MSBA Employment standards used in media rankings
Cultivate and develop career opportunities for full-time MBA students and educate them on how to maximize these opportunities
Prepare students for success in corporate interactions
Oversee the development of career education materials and resources including career courses and extra-curricular career readiness programming
Manage career education and advising and provide career coaching and advice as needed for individual students
Continuously explore new technologies and vendors to deliver career education and advising more efficiently and at scale Percentage of time 30
Duties/Responsibilities Cultivate Corporate Relationships
Develop, sustain, and advance recruiting relationships with companies that hire MBA talent
Manage employer relations staff within the CMC to assess and refine the targets dictated by the market and the students enrolled in the program
Research high potential hiring targets, identify and execute ways to engage with them
Market the Program through a variety of channels in coordination with the Office of Marketing & Communication
Recommend and promote individual relationships between students and professionals
Provide support for managing and building relationships with the program’s advisory boards and councils
Expand and build relationships with employers who are likely to sponsor work permits/visas for international MBA and MSBA students Percentage of time 30
