The Sr. Capture Manager works on selected qualifiedopportunities and oversees bid strategies, team building, marketresearch and win strategies. This position will report directly tothe Vice President of Business Development and will support leadsacross multiple lines of business.
Essential Job Functions:
Leadingand managing winning capture strategies and obtaining the resourcesnecessary to execute the capture plans and pursuits. Directing andmanaging the capture process for assigned pursuits to includebuilding, maintaining, and updating capture plans per corporateprocess. Identifying the resources (both internal and external tothe company) required to pursue contracts. Foster relationshipswith customers for specific opportunities. Formulating andestablishing external teaming and partnering strategies to includeidentifying, selecting, and recruiting teammates and suppliers thatincrease the PWin. Preparing, coordinating, and presentingintermittent capture and gate reviews to senior leadership.
Developing win themes, discriminators, and proposal messaging.
Assisting significantly with proposal development, includingparticipating in black hat reviews and ensuring win themes,customer knowledge, and discriminators are incorporated. Supportingpricing strategy development. Participating in applicablecontinuous improvement projects across the processes. Ensure thatall business activity is conducted in line with company values,policies and ethics codes of conduct.
Required Skills:
Due to thesensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship isrequired. A Secret clearance is desired. A Bachelor’s Degree and 15years of experience in Senior Management, Business Development,and/or Capture of opportunities within the defense and/or nationalsecurity sector. Knowledge of, and experience using BusinessDevelopment CRM toolsets Experience leading development of simpleand complex solicitation solutions, utilizing for both smallopportunities as well as large IDIQ/MACs (i.e.
OASIS, IAC
MAC,Seaport-NxG, RS3) Proven ability to lead complex teams consistingof matrix support and teammates to successfully prosecute strategicopportunities. Demonstrated experience engaging with seniorcorporate leaders and Department of Defense clients. Anaccomplished business developer/growth lead who understandsbusiness development, capture, project management, contracts, andproposal development. Proven project management skills, includingdemonstrated ability to schedule, manage, and accomplish winningcampaigns on-time. A strategic thinker, capable of building andmaintaining internal and teammate relationships. Demonstratedeffective negotiating skills. A hands-on manager with excellentanalytical, written, and oral communication skills (this positionis a non-management position but management skills are required toeffectively managed assigned captures). Ability to build effectiveworking relationships and communicating appropriately at customer,teammate and internal organization level. Strong analytical skillsboth quantitative and qualitative – with the ability to recognizetrends and perceive connections among information of differenttypes and sources.
