SummaryDCBLOX is seeking a thorough, analytical, and initiative-drivenCorporate Development analyst to complete projects to support thefinance organization, including debt and equity capital raising andinvestment deal financial modeling and presentations. This rolewill focus on the creation and management of the financial modelsand will have valuable exposure to the DC BLOX C-Suite,cross-functional leaders in the company, Private Equity investorsof the company, current and potential lenders, investment bankers,and industry investors on a regular basis.
This individual willsupport the Corporate Development Manager and the SVP, CapitalMarkets and Strategy directly.
The ideal candidate will be anautonomous self-starter who is capable of driving results withoutconstant direction. The candidate should have a professional-growthmindset and be willing to bring forth ideas that can benefit DCBLOX.Responsibilities Assist in Debt and Equity capital raising initiatives Prepare project information materials that provide a logicallyreasoned and data-supported approach for the internal investmentcommittee, the board of directors, banks, and investors throughclose interaction with finance, new site development, sales &operations teams Assist in the development and implementation of company-widestrategic initiatives Create, maintain & update flexible, accurate & user-friendlyfinancial models Assist in the negotiation of term sheets, and preparerecommendations of debt financing solutions Handle information flow with banks, lawyers, and internalconstituencies via data room creation and management Draft term sheets and LOIs on investment opportunities Prepare lender presentations and investment memoranda oncapital raises as well as new investment opportunities Ensure smooth handover to finance/accounting team for fundingmechanics, reporting requirements, covenant compliance, etc. Coordinate with finance/accounting team on any post-closinginteractions with the lenders Monitor competitors’ financing structures and valuations, andmaintain internal database Create reports comparing DC BLOX’s current capital structureand financing vehicles to peer companies and analyze/recommendopportunities to optimize cost of capital Execute ad hoc analyses as neededQualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or STEM fieldrequired Prior 2-7 year full time experience in digital infrastructure,investment banking, corporate development, real estate investmentfund, or Big 4 accounting firm focused on capital markets orM&A Strong analytical mind, problem-solving skills,quantitative/qualitative skillset, and modeling and presentationskills An interest in the data center industry or real estateinvestment sector Strong logic, reasoning, and math skills Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Ability to maintain confidentiality Outstanding ethics, integrity, and judgment Effective communication skills with experience in working withexecutives or other senior members of the organization Demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail and an abilityto complete work accurately and in a timely manner Ability to work well with people from many differentdisciplines with varying degrees of technical experiencePreferredQualifications Prior Data Center industry experience at a data centerfinancing or corporate development organization, the digitalinfrastructure practice of an investment bank or a lender, focusedon Real Estate style, Project Finance style or Securitizationtransactions, or private equity experience focused on datacenters #J-18808-Ljbffr
