Job Description:
Supervises the scheduling of all radiology procedures for theAtlanta, Forsyth, and Cherokee Hospitals as well as all outpatientfacilities. Manages insurance precertification and Medicarecompliance activities for all PET scans, add-on procedures,physician office requests, and other procedures as needed.
Coordinates activities with Patient Access, Business Office, andRadiology supervisors. Acts as a liaison to physician offices,patients, managed care agencies, and other hospital personnel.
Position Requirements
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE ORCERTIFICATION REQUIRED
- Two (2) years experience as a scheduleror other related experience.
- One (1) year of supervisoryexperience in healthcare or related environment.
- Demonstratedexperience in managing department operations including training,supervision, budgeting, etc.
- Demonstrated knowledge andexperience in medical insurance, managed care, and medical billingprocesses and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of acomputerized scheduling system and related trouble-shooting,maintenance, and repair activities
