Exempt Acadian Companies is searching for a seasoned and strategic Director of Staffing to lead the National EMS Academy (NEMSA) and oversee staffing for Acadian Ambulance Operations. This role involves guiding the NEMSA team in providing top-tier EMS education, including EMT and Paramedic training, as well as internal medical continuing education and leadership development programs. The Director will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance service quality and organizational efficiency while offering financial and operational support to senior management. Additionally, the Director will strengthen the company’s market position by establishing, negotiating, and maintaining business relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the management of all aspects of the National EMS Academy.
Establish and communicate program goals and performance expectations to staff.
Lead the efficient and effective delivery of EMS curriculum to produce graduates who are prepared to challenge the National Registry examination and enter the labor force as EMTs and Paramedics.
Direct the marketing of classes and recruitment of EMT and Paramedic students.
Oversee the recruitment team in driven results of hiring qualified and training positions
Lead staffing forecast and strategic planning to maintain adequate or above levels of staffing in all Acadian Ambulance operations
Review outcomes and measures of classes, direct process improvement studies, and take definitive action to ensure the quality and success of the educational programs.
Review and approve changes to curriculum and program schedules
Oversee internal marketing of refresher courses / continuing education.
Oversee the enhancement and development of leadership development offerings.
Oversee the development of revenue generating products and services that are not dependent upon the availability of instructor resources.
Screen potential business opportunities by analyzing market strategies, requirements, potential, and financials, and recommend equity investments.
Manage staff and facilitates interdepartmental communication.
Review, approve, and conduct continual analysis and evaluation of strategic information (revenues, operating expenditures, capital expenditures, margins, productivity, pass/fail rates, etc.) and provide meaningful reporting to senior management in a timely and effective manner.
Facilitate contract administration, inspection, and project management.
Review and manage billing processes, accounts receivable, and accounts payable for the National EMS Academy.
Prepare and oversee NEMSA budgeting process and other forecasts.
Qualifications:
High school education required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred. A sufficient combination of education and experience will be considered.
Strong organizational and analytical skills. Strong project management and problem-solving skills, including the ability to make mid-course corrections;
Proven history of delivering strong financial and operational leadership.
