The FOH Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of guest service, managing front-of-house staff, ensuring a smooth and positive dining experience, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. This role requires strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and a thorough understanding of restaurant operations. The Front of House Manager thrives in a dynamic, high-energy environment while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Essential Job Functions
- Ensure every guest receives a warm, welcoming, and exceptional dining experience.
- Address guest complaints, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor the dining room to ensure guests’ needs are being met and adjust staff attention as needed.
- Supervise, train, and motivate front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, bussers, and bartenders.
- Handle daily staffing needs, including ensuring the right number of servers, hosts, and other personnel are scheduled.
- Oversee the daily operations of the front-of-house, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and back-of-house managers to ensure timely food delivery and quality standards are met.
- Monitor dining room flow and table turnover, optimizing seat management and guest experience.
- Ensure the restaurant is always clean, organized, and presentable to guests, including managing restrooms, dining areas, and entrances.
- Manage front-of-house inventory, including linens, cleaning supplies, and bar stock.
- Ensure the bar area is fully stocked and collaborate with bartenders to manage beverage inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and ensure staff is properly trained in these standards.
- Ensure all necessary licenses and certifications are current.
- Conduct regular inspections of the dining area, kitchen, and storage areas to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Performs other functions as assigned and directed by Manager and as needed Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Front of House Manager, Assistant Manager, or in a similar supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in POS systems, restaurant management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the restaurant industry.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Working Conditions/Physical Demands
