About this
Position:
Thisposition establishes and maintains the core facility partnershipsfor product development in North America (“NA”). Acting as theBudget Controller for Proving Grounds (“PG”) Operations andcoordinating Drivers Training Activity for Automotive DevelopmentCenter (“ADC”). This activity will include leading improvements tocurrent processes to increase efficiency and end user understandingof what is required to use and reserve each facility. This positionwill be a core influencer during investigations of future facilityneeds with the function groups to ensure that NA developments willbe able to be completed efficiently andeffectively.
Responsibilities include:
Facility and DocumentationTracking and Forecasting:
- Creation of a road map of necessaryfacilities for future technology, ensuring input and coordinationwith all relevant engineering, planning and facility depts.
- Leveraging function group relationships to understand the completeuser experience across the organization, lead the drive forcontinual process efficiency related to current work-flow anddocumentation of existing and future facilities.
- Lead thecreation of a comprehensive list of available facilities in NA,including facility specifications and clear procedures to utilizeeach facility.
Budget Management / Purchasing /
Billing:
- Createsbudget required for operations including current fiscal year andlong-term forecasting
- Reconcile budget vs. actual, run, presentreports monthly, and quarterly to Dept Management
- Lead budgetmodification proposals in order to meet budget as required.
- Process and track request for goods and services.
- Collaborate,create and input the Investment Planning budget for current andfuture fiscal years.
- Collaborate and assist with creation ofquarterly budget reports.
Drivers Development:
- Creation of theyearly Driver Development needs by correlating cross-functionally
- Create and execute the budget required for ADC Drivers Development
- Execute the Drivers Development classes through scheduling eventswith PG sites, prioritizing associates based on needs, classavailability and teaching where applicable.
- Ensure documentationin Driver Development System is up to date.
- Assist in creation ofupdated
Driver Development SystemTest Planning Execution:
- Lead inthe creation and tracking of overall budget required for ADCTesting for Proving Grounds controlled budget includingTransportation Research Center (“TRC”), Automotive EnvironmentalTesting (“AET”) and other PG’s as required
- Lead in thecoordination of test plans with PG’s, especially the creation thecold weather test plan required to execute testing based oncorrelation with the function groups from ADC, ManufacturingManagement Center (“MMC”), Shoken and Power Sports
- Coordinatewith the 3rd Party Proving Grounds to ensure testing requirementsare met including buildings, tracks and other infrastructure, andbudget required.
Support and/or lead cross functional teams As asmall support department, critical roles must be executed in atimely and accurate manner, which may require assisting or standingin for those leading the activity. Activities include but are notlimited to running department-led cross functional meetings,coordination and reporting of investment planning, conductinginventory of department assets, safety checks, audits, and siteconfidentiality checks.
