Work Schedule:

Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity
This role is on a hybrid schedule and must be able to work from Ally’s Charlotte or Detroit locations an average of three days per week.
As the Sr Analyst, Business Systems Development-Workday, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, administration, maintenance, and optimization of the HCM Core, Compensation, and Advanced Compensation modules. Additionally, you will ensure that services are delivered in accordance with documented service level targets. You will frequently interact with HR, Technology, and third-party teams on specific projects or more complex tasks. You may also interact with Ally Senior Leadership.
This position is part of the Workday development team within the Human Resources’ Enabling Solutions organization. This position reports to the Manager, Business Systems Development-Workday.
The Work Itself
Provide Workday HCM Core, Compensation, and Advanced Compensation subject matter expertise support by managing Tier 2 cases, system maintenance, business process configuration, tenant configuration, integrations support, and release management.
Advise stakeholders on industry standards, providing suggestions to achieve clean configuration and streamlined processes
Partner with HR and stakeholder teams to gather and analyze business requirements and drive the planning, development, testing, and implementation of Workday HCM Core, Compensation, and Advanced Compensation functionality to optimize processes and enhance the employee, manager, and HR operations experience.
Troubleshoot and resolve routine and complex issues, while engaging and/or collaborating with Workday Support, HR, Technology, and/or third-party teams as needed.
Maintain change controls documentation to align with tenant governance and prioritization routines.
Ensure data integrity in Workday in support of HCM Core, Compensation, and Advanced Compensation business processes.
Clearly articulate the merits and disadvantages of solution options to support informed decisions by stakeholders. Communicate system issues and/or enhancements in a clear and concise manner. Simplify technical language to effectively communicate with non-technical users.
Regularly evaluate current state of systems and new Workday functionality to identify and recommend process improvements, system enhancements, and/or new applications to support business strategies and operational needs.
The Skills You Bring
3+ years of experience in a role responsible for configuration of Workday HCM Core, Compensation, and Advanced Compensation modules required.
Bachelor’s Degree in HR, HRIS, Technology, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the key accountabilities of the job required.
Related HR functional experience required.
Workday Pro HCM Core Certification or Partner Certification preferred.
Workday Pro Compensation and/or Advanced Compensation Certification or Partner Certification preferred.
Experience leading the Workday HCM Core, Compensation, and/or Advanced Compensation functional workstream for a Workday implementation project preferred.
Experience with case management systems, such as ServiceNow, including ability to triage and manage assigned cases within defined processes and service level agreements.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret requests and provide actionable insights.
Experience with operating in alignment with an agile project management methodology, such as scrum, including experience managing sprints in Jira.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and assigned projects in an organized, thorough, and timely manner.
Demonstrated diligence and relentless commitment to follow-through.
Demonstrated ability to convey ideas and recommendations to a wide variety of audiences at all levels in a clear, compelling, and succinct way while applying strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.
Experience with gathering business requirements, engaging in problem-solving conversations, and developing and testing potential solutions.
Ability to apply systems-thinking to look across HR and understand the “big picture”.
