Job Description:

We have an opening for a data-prone, efficient, and methodical Beverage Manager to work within one of IMI’s leading hotel clients. This person will work with IMI’s Director of Accounts and the Client Beverage team to enhance the beverage program through analyzing data, program practices, and on-trend marketing to develop, train, and deploy scalable beverage efficiency procedures. The Beverage Manager will track and assess post-training performance and adjust as needed across the Clients’ Hotels. The Beverage Manager will lead beverage data compilation, research and development, presentations, training, program launches & revisions, live openings, program compliance, and remediation programs. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining property relationships, sustaining accountability across menus to ensure brand standards are being met, supporting new rollouts and beverage initiatives, and managing key vendors and stakeholders’ performance and interactions. This person must be well-rounded and able to hold their own with Senior Leadership, Stakeholders, and internal departments while leading property-level Managers.

Given the high visibility of IMI Agency within this Leading Chain Hospitality Operator, Beverage Suppliers, and Beverage Distributors B2C and B2B communities along with the ethical, transparent, fiduciary, and legally compliant ethics of our company, all IMI team members must be intelligent, mature, well-polished, trustworthy, and have a high standard of ethics and leadership. You must have confidence and class in conducting IMIs and the Client’s mission but also know how to take constructive feedback and implement the necessary changes in performance and work, based on that feedback. You must dress and carry yourself in a manner that is superior to the standard, along with speaking and writing clearly.

Responsibilities will include:

Lead R D for branded cocktails programs, including seasonal updates for casual, fine dining, hotel, and additional concepts (e.g., new menus & use records, imagery, seasonal specials, PR opportunities, etc.). Compile and present associated beverage program data. Refresh training material and programming for optional bar items. Inspire outlets to drive revenue by leveraging the beverage program brands and supplier partnerships. Own client’s beverage deployment and training across property. Audit all units and menus frequently for availability and menu compliance. Oversee beverage marketing spend on activations, print, and training. Support bar activation for halo openings & brand activations (conferences and special events). Provide training and sustainable programming for underperforming outlets. Identify experiential beverage programs for certain outlets and areas on the property. Lead beverage-related POCs across all brand spaces. Oversee Wine Program across property, designing individual wine programs to receive awards. and certifications in excellence, while upholding beverage compliance. Oversee planning and executing wine and spirits dinner on a consistent basis. Host and post regular weekly/daily beverage training in person and on company’s digital media communication (Beekeeper). Attend weekly F&B meetings to cover beverage-related items with senior F&B leaders. Work with F&B Senior staff on fully executing the vision for the growth and success of the beverage program across the property. Work with F&B leaders on developing, training, and launching seasonal beverage menus and specials.

Education & Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following: Advanced knowledge and experience in developing, deploying, and assessing National Beverage Programs across brands. Proven working experience in beverage trend spotting and beverage data analysis, staying current with present and future trends. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, hospitality, or related field. Expertise in cocktails, spirits, and a variety of beverages (i.e., beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages). Solid understanding of developing programs for working bars. Expertise in training and coaching, including remediation programs. Experience creating and presenting presentations to groups of all sizes in-person and virtually. Experience deploying large-scale materials to personnel of all levels. Proficient in Excel, PPT, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and other Microsoft tools. Experience running promotions & activations on property level. Strong presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills. Strong time management and organization skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and balance priorities. Works well under pressure and with tight deadlines. Flexible and able to work with different management styles. Takes initiative and is a part of the solution to issues and problems. High-energy people skills and a professional demeanor. Hospitable, with a service-prone, client-first mentality. Follow-up and follow-through must be your mantra! Ability to travel as needed to conferences and/or off-site events 10-20%.

Salary:

$65,000

  • $75,000 based on experience and demonstrated successes.
