GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
(Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to) Be able and willing to perform proficiently and consistently all duties and performance requirements of a Crew Member and Assistant Manager as outlined in the Crew Member Job Description and Assistant Manager Job Description section of the Operations Policy and Procedures Manual. In addition, perform managerial & leadership duties to include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, firing, training, preparing daily reports, bank deposits, night bank deposits, gasoline/fuel and other surveys of competition, time sheets, operate Point of Sale equipment, Credit/Debit card, and othe r equipment and transactions as necessary. Be proficient in the use of all equipment and all reports. Be an Ambassador for SBOC/Hugo’s Express Car Wash at all times. Must be a champion and support the Company’s Values and Mission Statement. Must be able to resolve personnel issues within the stores and address guest complaints in a professional and timely manner. Have good communication skills and promote teamwork within the store. Must ensure the store is fully stocked with merchandise and fronted at all times and all POP signage is accurately posted. Must be mentally and physically capable of immediately activating emergency controls, handle accidental spills, fire extinguishers and Emergency Shut Offs.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
(This list may not include all of the duties assigned) Must read, comply and utilize the Store Operation Manual and SBOC/Hugo’s Express Car Wash Operations Policy and Procedures Manual. Be a leader by providing proper Leadership for Store Employees by “Leading by Example.” Be totally responsible to set a positive guest experience tone in the store. Prepare Daily Reports, Shift Reports, Analysis, Competitive Surveys and Computer Reports as required. Do daily banking according to Company established times. Maintain proper cash levels in the safe and XPT units. Must be proficient in ordering, and inventory control to avoid over stocking or running out of chemical/supplies. Must be able to fire, recruit, interview, thoroughly check out applicant’s background and references, hire and train employees according to Company Human Resource Policies and State and Federal Employment Laws. All new hires require a face to face interview with the D.M. Must be able and willing to personally handle any of the tasks assigned to Crew Members. and the Assistant Manager including working all shifts. Complete all reports in the time frame established by the Company. Be responsible for all chemical delivery paperwork. Report all maintenance and safety issues in a timely manner. Work with vendors and ensure Vendor Control Policies are followed. Must ensure all employees follow the Store Operating Manual, Training Manuals and the Operations Policy and Procedures Manual. Train all employees to give “Superior Guest Service”. Must be in prescribed uniform at all times and must ensure all employees follow dress code requirements. Must be able to perform all safety procedures. (

expeditiously extinguishing fires in the tunnel and use Emergency Shut Offs.) Must maintain a safe work environment and be able to recognize and respond to safety issues, ensuring all company and OSHA safety standards are complied with. Must promote a culture of safety. Must investigate all unauthorized washes, cash shortages, chemical/inventory shortages or other issues by reviewing General Sales Reports, Daily Employee Activity Logs, Vendor Logs, Invoices and other documents and video surveillance. Must also conduct employee interviews when necessary. Read all E-Mails daily, respond when required and make price changes upon notification. Schedule employees work hours according to allotted hours established for the store by the Company. Ensure all employees are up selling (suggestive selling) to optimize in store sales. Seek out and continuously develop knowledge and information about competitor’s attitude, promotions, pricing and tactics and communicate to relevant departments in the Company. Attend and contribute to Training Meetings as they are scheduled. Ensure all employees do not discuss pricing and pricing strategies with competitors or anyone outside of the Company. Must ensure that no warrants are signed or criminal proceedings are instigated by any employee without the direct approval of the Vice President, the Director of Operations or Officers of the Corporation. No store employee may accept any Subpoena or Legal Documents. Any attempt to serve Subpoena’s or Legal Documents must be referred to the Corporate Offices. Prior to ending the shift the Store Manager must verify surveillance cameras are working and recording. If the device is not recording, the Manager is to go into the system to determine who may have turned off the recorder and reactivate the recorder. Manager is responsible for the safety and security of all employees while the employees are on duty. Managers should avoid Assistant Manager working together to insure proper management in the store on mornings and evening shifts. Emphasize and promote safety; ensuring all employees ate trained Record/Control supply and chemical inventories on a weekly basis

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires the operation of equipment such as the Safe, DRB Equipment and software, Tunnel equipment and controllers, backroom equipment and other equipment typically found in a car wash. Must be mentally and physically able to perform emergency procedures. Requires ability to work flexible hours with “On Call” status. This position may require long hours on all shifts that may include days, nights, holidays and weekends. Must be able to work alone for prolonged periods of times without breaks. Must be mentally and physically able to administer emergency procedures. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for the majority of each shift and for prolonged periods of time. Employees will use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, use tools or controls, reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. The employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, stretch and crouch. Employees must be able to move both independently and without significantly interfering with the movement of others in a confined area. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires the ability to distinguish letters and symbols.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a car wash environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and cold. The employee occasionally may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Manager may work part time outside of Hugo’s Express Car Wash with certain restrictions including: the part time position is not a competitor or in the convenience store industry. Manager is “On Call” 24 hours per day seven days per week, they may not hold a position with any other company that would prevent them from leaving the part time job at a moment’s notice, must be accessible by phone at all times and the job location must be within reasonable travel time to get to their store location. Manager is expected to work a minimum of 45 hours per week at their site. Manager is required to work a minimum of One (1) second shift per week.

Must prepare all reports, make bank deposits and control Company assets. Must be able to recruit, hire and properly train all store employees. Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with Company Staff and Departments. Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive Company information. “Managerial” duties such as but not limited to those noted above. Must be mentally and physically able to perform emergency procedures. Must comply with and follow all State, Federal and Municipal laws, rules, ordinances and regulations.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Prior Assistant Manager Experience with SBOC/Hugo’s Express Car Wash preferred. Must have some computer skills. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents and department manuals. Ability to effectively and positively present information in one – on -one and small group situations to guests and other employees in the organization. Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply and divide, calculate percentages and discounts. Must be able to grasp cash and inventory control procedures and basic accounting functions. Ability to apply common sense understanding, to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
