Job Summary
The QHSE Regional Manager•Ground Handling, West is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) program. In this role they support all the management teams and various internal departments as required and report to leadership on the overall QHSE performance, including improvement needs.
The expected pay rate is $75-95k/yr. Full-time employees are offered a range of health and wellness benefits as well as 401(k) with company match paid vacation time, sick time, and company paid holidays.
Job Responsibilities Lead cultural change within the business to ensure continuous improvement
Implement and main programs, policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with company, client and governmental QHSE requirements.
Prepare and maintain required HSE records and reports.
Lead auditor and facilitator of Quality performance improvements in the region
Audit company facilities and workforce in the assigned regions.
Keep abreast of current HSE industry trends, new legislative impacts and customer requirements.
Be an agent for change.
Develop and facilitate project HSE risk assessments (e.g HAZID, safety cases).
Communicate lessons learned from incident or other opportunities for improvement by performing or facilitating:
Non-conformity reports
Root cause analysis
Incidents, near misses and damages
Customer complaints
Key Performance Indicators
Develop and monitor QHSE performance and progress.
Prepare and deliver professional presentation
Monitor insured case management from any of the job injuries, equipment damage, property or environmental claims utilizing the Risk Management Team and appropriate Third Party Admins (TPAs)
Align with region leadership to develop QHSE Goals & Improvement plans both targeted and strategic.
Support the training and development of all staff to ensure awareness and understanding of QHSE Standards and the relevance of the business objectives.
Maintain a contract risk register, reviewing QHSE risks, and escalating when appropriate.
Maintain quality, safety, environmental systems, implement and audit to achieve compliance with ISO9001, 14001, and

OHSAS 18001.

Provide leadership to support the management of supply chains and compliance with QHSE standards through “Point of Work Assessments” audit and review of operating practice and systems.
Reports directly to the QHSE Director
Qualifications and Competencies Willingness to travel up to 75%, sometimes with little notice
Good command of the English language both verbal and written 3+ years’ experience in QHSE leadership role
Bachelor’s Degree in any of the QHSE disciplines preferred
CSP, ASP, or CIH Certification preferred
ISO Lead Auditor
Self-Starter, able to prioritize and organize targeted and strategic projects or assignments.
Able to deal with a wide range of situations and personalities, good interpersonal skills
Able to work well under pressure and maintain a team spirit and cooperative attitude
Able to conduct public speaking, good presentation skills
Detail-oriented, excellent organizational skills and consistent
Open minded, committed to continual improvement, a change agent
Ability to move back and forth between the strategic and tactical aspects of the role, set priorities and produce results under challenging conditions with tight deadlines.
Strong verbal, auditory & written communication skills.
Computer literate, with proficient skills in MS-Office suite of programs.
Team player and leader.
Willingness and ability to frequently travel, up to 75% sometimes with little notice
