The Consultant works as a member of the Client Services group in providing outstanding service to our valued clients, and works directly with clients under the supervision of an engagement manager. Our Valuation Consultants perform all aspects related to the financial analysis and valuation of business enterprises, stock or other equity interests and intellectual property.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties:

Perform all aspects of client field work relating to valuation engagements under the direct supervision of senior consultants and above
Execute valuations for financial reporting (e.g., business combinations, goodwill impairment testing, stock options, etc.), tax reporting, and strategic planning purposes
Prepare and review valuation models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), guideline public company, and transaction method
Communicate and work with a broad client base consisting of private equity firms, publicly-traded companies, venture-backed companies, etc.
Understanding of, and ability to compute, financial ratios and perform comparisons among various comparable companies
Ability to learn and perform business and derivative valuations using option pricing models and Monte Carlo analysis
Possess and apply analytical, communication, and business writing skills as it relates to individual client assignments
Extensive research and report writing

Preferred Qualifications:

A degree in Business, Finance or Accounting and experience in valuation or consulting a plus ASA, CFA, CPA or other relevant certification or progress towards one of these certifications is desired but not required.
Travel may be required.
Proficient computer ability relative to the constructing of complex formulas and macros.
Qualifications Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
1 year of relevant experience
Must be able to work in a team environment
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
Proficient use of applicable technology
Must be able to travel based on client and business needs The annual salary target for this job in this market is $70,000 – $90,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position. Outside of base compensation there are opportunities for – Commissions and/or Annual Bonuses (variable depending on firm and associate performance).
