The Head of Immunology Development Operations will reportdirectly to the Therapeutic Area Development Head of I&I is aleadership role managing critical operational aspects of the TA,including resource planning, TA governance, leadership teammeetings, town halls off-sites and core organization wideinitiatives. Main Responsibilities:
- Member ofthe I&I Therapeutic Leadership team providing direction for theportfolio and management group.
- Responsible for management of theTherapeutic Area Review Committee (TARC) using knowledge ofprojects, timelines and deliverables, link scheduling andprioritization of topics to overall TA and Business Unit strategy.
Maintain SharePoint site, serve as TARC Secretary keeping anddistributing detailed minutes, coordinate with key functionsincluding S&BD and Research.
- Responsible for coordination andexecution of other key TA governance committees such as ProtocolReview Committee (PRC) and TA Clinical Strategy Review meeting
- Support the Development of Disease Area Strategy incross-functional team workstream
- Support the TA Development Headwith preparations for major meetings (either internal or external
- Oversee TA communications including leading development of TAnewsletter and I&I Development Town Halls
- Oversee developmentand execution of process and procedure improvement initiativeswithin TA. Assess, develop, and implement tools designed tofacilitate operational excellence initiatives within TA.
- Act asResource for TA to advise and develop ad-hoc reports for projectteams, functional leadership based on industry best practices.
- Serve as liaison/interface to coordinate and potentially leadcross-functional projects with other critical functions(Commercial, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Strategy and CSO) andDevelopment.
- Support preparation of business plans and requestsfor TA funding.
- Partner with Global Project Heads/RegionalProject Leads of Unit and business partners to ensure adequateresource allocation.
- Contribute to the preparation of regularR D portfolio review process.
- Lead capacity planning with TAmembers during planning process/cycle. Consolidate and follow-up TAbudget and headcounts.
- Prepare appropriate dashboards for TAleadership team.
- Responsible for the effective implementation ofprojects and activities aiming to develop a culture of excellence,enhance knowledge and build skills across the TA.
- Interface withEnabling Functions to ensure compliance of the TA with company’sstandards.
- Advise and assist with recruitment, training andpeople development.

- Bachelor’s degree with 10 years internationalexperience in pharmaceutical/life sciences industry, Master’s with7 years /PhD/MD/PharmD with 5 years of pharma/life science industryexperience.
- Prior Team Leader & Managerial experience, bothtransversal and direct
- Ideal candidate will have a mix ofclinical or scientific experience, project management skills andfinancial/business background
- Track record of accomplishments inkeeping teams on track, in meeting goals and managing conflicts
- Strong leadership & communication, verbal and presentation skills
- Open minded, critical thinker with strong analytical skills
- Ability to navigate the management matrix; Negotiation skills
- Knowledge of Product Development Process with broadcross-functional experience, insight, and ability to manage at bothstrategic and operational levels.
- Demonstrated knowledge of theoverall biologic/pharmaceutical product development process, stagesof development, and role of different functional areas.
- Requiresan acceptance of potential ambiguity surrounding assumption-basedanalysis
- Familiarity and comfort with budget reporting
- Must beprofessional, dedicated, and detail-orientated and have theflexibility to travel domestically and internationally.
- Excellentoral and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, andcomputer skills.
- Effective problem solving and analytical skillsto tackle and manage a broad range of issues and projects anddeliver innovative solutions
- Strong organizational skillsrequired, including good time management skills.
