SUMMARY We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our Global Partnerships team as the Director of Partnership Strategy. The Director of Partnership Strategy will play a critical role in representing the interests of the Global Partnerships department across all new initiatives aimed at expanding our business portfolio. You will focus on the development of go-to-market strategies for new properties, intellectual property (IP), experiences, media, projects, and programs with a focus on revenue generation. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader driven by innovative thinking, experienced in delivering solutions for large-scale projects or partnerships, launching new products, and/or developing marketing strategies and commercial initiatives that drive value. The Director of Partnership Strategy will report to the Vice President of Global Partnership Marketing & Revenue Strategy.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Support Global Partnerships in all new business initiatives to expand the company’s portfolio.
Develop and support the execution of revenue generation strategies and go-to-market plans for partnership opportunities across new properties, IP, experiences, media, projects, and programs. These plans may include pricing, positioning, packaging, and prospecting/pitching strategies.
Collaborate with the Partner Solutions team and internal collaborators to build compelling storytelling and go-to-market materials for new projects.
Ensure seamless integration of partnership opportunities into new projects by working closely with internal and external stakeholders; cultivate strong relationships with current and prospective external business partners.
Build and maintain positive relationships with internal teams to ensure all members are meeting deliverables for Partnership department’s needs and to resolve all issues related to new asset onboarding. Internal collaborators will include Partnership Marketing & Development, Marketing, Capital Projects, Corporate Development, Products & Experiences, Levy Restaurants, Finance, Operations, Ticketing, Data Analytics & Insights, Brooklyn Media, NY Liberty, Brooklyn Nets, Community Relations, and Communications.
Lead the day-to-day onboarding process of new projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track partnerships progress of various workstreams on new projects.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of available rights, category exclusivities, and designations across various properties to avoid conflicts and maximize revenue potential; contribute comprehensive organizational project documentation for all involved collaborators.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership on partnership opportunities and market trends.
Serve as the internal point of contact and subject matter expert for all new initiatives, tracking and reporting project updates across the department. WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
10 years of experience in partnership strategy, project management, business development, or a related role within the sports and entertainment industry.
Demonstrated success in developing and deliver partnership strategies and revenue-generating plans.
Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant tools.
Schedule flexibility to attend games and events in a working capacity on evenings and weekends.

SALARY RANGE

$108,000 – $130,000 base salary

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role is based in our corporate headquarters in Brooklyn and requires flexibility to support projects that may occur in the evenings, weekends, or holidays.
