PhaseWell Research & Role PhaseWell Research is seeking a Partnership Manager focused on M&A and Business Development. PhaseWell Research, backed by Shore Capital Partners, is a fast-growing platform within the Clinical Trial Sites industry. Our mission is to accelerate innovation of life-saving treatments through best-in-class clinical trial settings. As a recently launched platform with a rapid growth trajectory, this hire has a unique opportunity to join on the “ground floor” alongside a proven team of healthcare and private equity executives. Successful candidates will have significant runway to build their career as the platform scales. This role would require a full relocation to Nashville, Tennessee. As a direct report to the VP of Mergers & Acquisitions and VP of Business Development, this hire will be responsible for driving the Company’s growth initiatives, including add-on acquisitions and select organic growth projects. The individual will be responsible for building relationships with high-performance clinical trial sites, developing a pipeline of potential acquisitions and biopharma sponsor customers, and driving a high-velocity M&A/BD engine. This role will act as an external face of PhaseWell Research, so ability to perform in a sales capacity will be critical. As this person builds domain expertise within the Clinical Trial industry, they will help drive market research to refine acquisition strategy, messaging, and communication. Strong candidates will have the opportunity to develop skills across the full life cycle of deal execution (e.g., M&A analysis, modeling, due diligence, revenue operations, pricing/bid negotiations). Key Responsibilities:
Pipeline Development:
Create, enhance, and oversee a dynamic pipeline of potential acquisition and partnership targets. Actively source leads and pinpoint high-potential companies that align with PhaseWell’s M&A and Business Development strategy.
Deal Sourcing & Screening :
Proactively discover new opportunities through market research, cold emailing/calling, conferences, and direct outreach. Obtain high-level financial and operational information to create proprietary CRM value.
Relationship Management :
Build strong connections with potential acquisition and partnership targets, maintaining proactive communication to keep opportunities progressing. Develop authentic relationships and deploy thoughtful outreach to demonstrate PhaseWell’s unique partnership culture.
Pipeline Reporting & Tracking:
Consistently update the pipeline status, including active opportunities, next steps, and potential obstacles. Utilize CRM systems and internal tracking tools to document progress, ensuring transparency within the corporate development and business development teams and leadership.
Market Research & Analysis:
Develop domain expertise within the Clinical Trial industry to enable business development activities. Conduct thorough market research to identify new potential targets and acquisition opportunities. Demonstrate credibility with founders/sellers and biopharma R D executives who are often industry thought leaders in scientific arenas.
Strategic Support:
Work closely with the corporate development team to refine acquisition strategies, messaging, and communication. Develop innovative ways to deploy data/AI to identify targets and optimize the M&A sourcing engine. Support on organic growth initiatives.

Requirements:
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel to clinical trial sites as necessary.
Working Conditions:
Primarily office-based with occasional fieldwork / travel tied to potential customers, acquisitions, conferences, etc. In-person 5 days a week
FLSA Status:
Exempt This position is classified as Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), meaning the employee is not entitled to overtime pay for hours worked over 40 hours per week.
