We are looking for a dedicated Director of Food and NutritionServices like you to be a part of our team. Job Summary and Qualifications The Director Hospitality, Food and Nutrition Services leads,directs, and manages the operations and activities of the Food andNutrition Services Department within assigned hospital and hospitaldepartment/campus locations. The Director provides consistent,high-quality service in a sanitary environment while ensuringState, Local, Federal and Joint Commission regulations, establishedpolicies and procedures and department standards of performance aremet. What you will do in this role: Evaluates existing systems and processes, initiates change andimprovements and makes suggestions to upper management. Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all currentpolicies, procedures and regulatory standards (TJC, OSHA, EEOC andothers) within all food and nutritional services areas. Consistently demonstrates the organization’s commitment for andadherence to sound ethical business practices in accordance withthe Corporate Integrity and Compliance Program, annual work planand established policies and procedures. Directs food production, ensure standardized recipes andproduction sheets, check food for flavor, temperature andappearance on a regular basis. Leads, directs and manages the daily operations of the Food andNutrition Services Department encompassing but not limited to allpatient and non-patient food service, employee cafeteria, doctor’sdining room, catering and floorstock. Prepares or directs preparation of department records as wellas recurring and special reports and analyses indicating number andtypes of regular and therapeutic diets prepared, nutritional andcaloric analyses of meals, food and labor costs, sanitationirregularities, menus, food production rates and so forth asrequired/requested. Assumes accountability for promoting consistent, positivepatient interactions in an effort to meet or exceed HCAHPSgoals. Maintains a patient-first philosophy and engages in servicerecovery when necessary. Supports the development and implementation of strategies toelevate the patient experience. Directs the effective operation of all Food and NutritionServices activities in the organization to provide for an asepticand aesthetically pleasing environment through coordinating andsupervising all functions of the department. Responsible for providing high-quality service to, and actingas liaison with, patients and their representatives, physicians andemployees. Ensures full and timely compliance with staff development toinclude training and education, competency assessment andperformance reviews. Provides for a well-trained and competent staff throughsupervision and coordination in relation to all departmentalactivities. Utilizes leadership responsibilities in directing the Food andNutritional supervisory staff. Achieve Employee Engagement goals and objectives. Leads others to accomplish organizational goals and objectives;provides meaningful coaching and mentoring to increase thecapabilities of individuals and teams and drive employeeengagement. Responsible for staff performance and the accomplishment ofdepartmental responsibilities in accord with corporate, hospital,department and safety policies and procedures to meet both companyand regulatory requirements. Provide for new and innovative services and systems throughup-to-date information about new high-quality products, safetyequipment and time saving methods. Directs the purchase of supplies, food, equipment and othersupplies to meet the needs of assigned hospital andhospital/department campus. Manages department productivity to assigned goals andobjectives to maximize operational efficiency, optimum use ofresources and cost minimization. Manages costs to achieve Net Spend per APD goals andobjectives. Produces and manage Department Budget to include accurate andtimely GL coding. Manages and maximize the compliance of HealthTrust contractedvendors. Performs other duties as assigned. Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission andValue Statement.”
Education and Certifications:
