The Dispatcher will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation operations, ensuring timely deliveries, and optimizing routes. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Coordinate and schedule transportation for shipments, ensuring timely delivery to clients. Must be able to handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Must be able to keep FMSCA up to date and Insurances Must be able to acquire permits when needed Analyze transportation data to optimize routes and improve efficiency. Communicate with drivers to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of shipments, including data entry into logistics management systems. Collaborate with 3PL providers to streamline operations and enhance service delivery. Monitor performance metrics related to transportation management and suggest improvements as needed. Utilize GIS tools for route planning and analysis. Experience Previous experience in a dispatch or logistics role is preferred. Strong data entry skills with attention to detail. Ability to analyze logistical data effectively to make informed decisions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with drivers and clients. A background in logistics or supply chain management is beneficial but not mandatory.
