After Hours Dispatch Level – 1 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Auburn, AL • Remote Position Details RSC Mechanical is looking for an After-Hours Dispatcher within our Mechanical Contracting division. This role is essential to our operations and involves managing a high volume of tasks while collaborating with various departments and external partners. As an After-Hours Dispatcher, your primary goal will be to enhance and streamline communication between our customers, technicians, and management. Schedule:
Full Time and Fully Remote Shifts may vary based on call volume and company needs. We will discuss working hours availability in the interview process. We are seeking flexibility.
Weekday Shift Coverage:
Second Shift:
4:00 PM – 11:30
PM Third Shift:
10:30 PM – 8:30
AM Weekend Shift Coverage:
Looking for full availability on the weekends. Most shifts are 6-8 hours. We are looking for a variety of shifts to be covered: Early mornings begin around 7:30 AM, and end around 3:00 PM Mid-afternoon shifts begin around 2:00 PM and end around 11:00 PM Evening/night shifts begin around 10/11:00PM and end around 8/8:30 AM. Holiday shifts are required; they are on a rotating schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer phones, emails and dispatch queue. Create tickets with detailed documentation. Monitor technician vehicle GPS systems. Dispatch and prioritize tickets accordingly to service technicians. Communicate with customers and technicians on ETA’s. Maintain effective and ongoing communication with other dispatchers, technicians, and management throughout the shift. Alert management when necessary for high visibility and critical issues, document resolutions, follow up with customers, Demonstrate close attention to detail. Able to prioritize and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment with a positive attitude. Verify integrity of customers’ accounts (service provided, materials used, time) against actual work completed by technicians. Close out jobs and activate billing. Inform technicians of backlogs and manage while on job sites. Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, remain calm and courteous when working with both internal employees and external customers. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Docs is a must. You must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written communication. A team player is a must. You must demonstrate the ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors, technicians, and clients. Prioritizing multiple tasks and staying organized is a must. Must be comfortable and confident to work in a fast paced, deadline driven, stressful environment. Able to work alone or in a small group and remain productive with minimal supervision.
