As part of our continued growth, we are expanding into Alachua, FL, with a new distribution center. To support this expansion, we are seeking a professional and dynamic Dispatch Coordinator to join our team.

Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM•8:00

PM Job Summary:

The Dispatch Coordinator will work directly with the Transportation Team including Dispatch Supervisor and Dispatch Manager on Routing and Dispatch of drivers on a consistent basis. The goal is to assist in the daily customer service and administrative activities of the Transportation Department to ensure accurate and prompt delivery service to our customers. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work under time restrictions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the Dispatch Supervisor in planning routes, determining the order of stops, and adjusting schedules as needed Assign drivers to specific routes based on availability, location, priority, and Hours of Service Provides support to drivers on dispatch/route/tractor/trailer or other equipment issues Communicate dispatch time, route, backhauls, and any other special instructions with Drivers Communicate with Sales, Purchasing, Customers, and Drivers concerning delivery appointment times, and ETA Use of E-Logs and TMS system to track and monitor driver movements in real-time Complete and email domicile lots of sheet to track equipment effectively Help find quick solutions to delivery issues such as delays, breakdowns, reschedules or re-routes Monitor trailer temperature alarms Maintain auto router Serve as a backup for Dispatch Supervisor and other Dispatch Coordinators Additional duties as assigned

Experience and Education Required:

High School Diploma or GED required Warehouse loading experience preferred Experience in the food industry a plus Experience in transportation or logistics a plus
