Field Assistant to directly support the Field Manager with technician dispatching, field operations, and inventory/parts management.

This role is responsible for dispatching technicians to service jobs, supporting daily field operations, and helping manage local parts inventory to ensure technicians have the materials they need to complete repairs efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

Technician Dispatching:

Assign technicians to service jobs in ShopMonkey based on skills, location, and priority. Manage incoming service requests and dispatch technicians quickly and accurately. Monitor technician progress, job completion status, and update schedules in real-time. Resolve last-minute call-outs, job changes, and schedule conflicts.

Field Operations Support:

Assist the Field Manager with real-time updates on field activities and technician needs. Support technicians onsite by delivering urgent parts, tools, and supplies when necessary. Help stage vehicles, tools, and parts for upcoming assignments. Provide End-of-Day (EOD) reports summarizing field activities and technician dispatch.

Inventory and Parts Management:

Help manage local parts inventory to ensure stock levels are maintained for common repairs. Track parts usage and report shortages or order needs to the Parts Department. Verify parts availability for scheduled work orders and help with staging parts for technicians. Support the organization and cleanliness of parts storage areas.

Communication:

Communicate effectively using Slack, Google Suite, ShopMonkey, and internal systems. Provide proactive field updates to the Field Manager and leadership team.

Qualifications:

Dispatching, scheduling, or field operations experience preferred. Experience with inventory management or parts handling a plus. Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with ShopMonkey or similar scheduling platforms preferred. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to assist with parts and inventory tasks.
