We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as an Overnight Dispatch Supervisor at our Tampa, FL office. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Dispatch Manager in all daily duties and responsibilities. You will also be responsible for monitoring your assigned staff and ensuring the operations are completed for the department including handling phone calls, dispatching drivers, updating emails, updating dispatching documents/portals. Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:

Supervise and provide guidance to dispatch staff to ensure efficient scheduling and dispatching of resources. Monitor team performance, provide training, and ensure that staff follow best practices and company protocols. Address staffing needs, handle employee concerns, and maintain team morale. Maintain current knowledge of routes and locations to assure timely service and accurate information Oversee the scheduling of deliveries, ensuring that all customer orders are processed and dispatched on time. Serve as a point of contact for customers, resolving delivery-related inquiries and issues. Ensure that delivery timelines and customer expectations are met. Implement and enforce procedures for handling delivery complaints and issues. Maintain records of dispatch activities, deliveries, and employee performance. Handle incoming phone calls, directing them appropriately and assisting with dispatch-related inquiries. Help address staff concerns and escalate issues to the Dispatch Manager as needed. Respond to and manage email correspondence regarding dispatch operations, providing updates and addressing issues when necessary. Updating dispatch sheets and logs with appropriate information Update dispatching software•E-Courier Reviewing and completing emails Update Dispatch staff with projects currently being completed and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently Assist with other departments as needed Ability to critically think Maintain regular attendance and dependability Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills. Excellent computer skills, including but not limited to data entry, documentation skills, organization Delegate direction & monitor staff to ensure adherence to SOPs Daily cadence with Dispatch Manager to report any staff reported or caused service failures in addition to: late arrivals, deviance from SOP, etc. Weekly cadence with Dispatch/Ops manager to discuss ongoing projects and department initiatives. Staff escalation for Service Failures and communication to the customer.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience. Strong knowledge of management methods and techniques. Ability to think strategically and take initiative in leadership. Strong client-facing communication and interpersonal skills. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
