US|Dispatcher|Contractor Position Available In Manatee, Florida

Job Description:

• Daily production of awarding of runs to Drivers.
• Daily reviewof Driver DOT trip reports, editing and creating reports
• Monitoring Drivers DOT Hours of Service and available hours.
• Communicating with Drivers on Dispatch instructions and changes.
• Coordinating with DC Leads appointments and trailer requirements.
• Responsible for load allocation utilizing the WMS (Red Prairie)
• Responsible for the troubleshooting of any order
• Dailycommunication with Drivers to review service needs andrequirements.
• Communication with Local carriers to secure outsiderun coverage as necessary.
• Ensure all inbound and outbound loadsare delivered on time.
• Communicating with Warehouse Leads on loadstatus.
• Consistent and effective communication by email andtelephone.
• Tracking and maintaining trailer and tractor inventory.
• Previous administrative experience.
• General knowledge of bothDepartment of Transportation regulations and Hours of Service.
• Logistic or Transportation experience.
• Previous experience usingcomputer systems and Microsoft Office.
• All other duties asassigned by Resource.
• Coordinate with customer logistics andtraffic to achieve customer service targets by reducing cuts andcarrier wait times not to incur detention charges and achieve LSCmetric to ensure RAD is met at the customer.
• Develop a sense ofurgency on the shift by working with maintenance and all employeesto reduce system, operational and mechanical downtime and minorstops.
• Team player by working closely with the in-coming andout-going shifts by providing solid handoffs and communications toensure each shift in the operation is successful.
• Provide coverageto fill in for operations staff on all 3 shifts and when weekendwork is needed.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers,drivers and dispatchers in a professional and constructive manner.
• Strong passion for customer service and logistics excellence
• Ability to learn and update brokerage transportation managementsystem
• Ability to effectively interact and build a favorablebusiness relationship with all carriers and customers
• Willing andable to assist with load coverage and account management duties
