About LakewoodRegional SupportOur regional support center provides resources toour hotels for multiple areas including Human Resources,Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Security, Group Reservations,Guest Contact Center, Information Technology, Laundry andCommunications.

Responsible for controlling access to, conductingphysical inspections of and monitoring surveillance cameras locatedat, the facilities, which constitute. To ensure the safety andsecurity of guests and employees and the protection of LHUOproperty and assets. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Performs Security Office, Employee Entrance and Patroloperations as outlined in the Standards of Performance Manual forSecurity Officers Thoroughly understands all Hotel Emergency Response Proceduresand is able to respond appropriately to all situations Monitors/controls access to all facility employee entrances,ensures that only authorized individuals enter Maintains a visitor sign-in/out log and issues temporary passesto visitors/vendors Inspects all packages entering and exiting through facilityemployee entrances, denies access to or removal of unauthorizedmaterials Verifies that all materials leaving facility are accompanies bya completed, signed package removal pass, confiscates and turnsover to management, all materials not properly authorized Maintains signature lists of Management personnel authorized tosign package removal passes Patrols front of house, back of house and exterior hotel areas,reporting any safety or security hazards, unacceptable behavior, orsuspicious persons to Security Supervisor for direction andresolution Prepares necessary maintenance requests for safety relatedmaintenance requirements identified Monitors Fire Control Computers Documents all security related issues and assistance providedin appropriate Security reports Logs, stores, and returns lost and found items in accordancewith hotel policies Enforces hotel rules/regulations in accordance with EmployeeManual and hotel policy Monitors and ensures compliance to hotel key control policiesby all employees Interacts with guests in a courteous and professionalmanner Responds to all guest and employee incidents, gathersinformation, secures area if necessary to preserve evidence Completes all daily reports in accordance with the SafetySecurity Manual May operate departmental vehicles to include electric personneltransport vehicles, pick up trucks, bicycles May assist in the collection/distribution of employeeuniforms May assist in the distribution of employee paychecks May assist in obtaining materials from Storeroom areas duringnon-operating hours Documents all after hour storeroom entries, reason for entry,ensures proper requisition obtained for all items removed Assists other hotel employees in applying Bloodborne PathogenExposure Control policies Answers department phone lines in prompt and courteous mannerin accordance with all Loews Hotels standards Monitors and operates radio communications equipment acrossmultiple locations and channels Documents all incoming and outgoing communications usingdispatch specific software Maintains clear communications and records between multiplesites and departments during an emergency response Assumes and prioritizes multiple tasks simultaneously Demonstrates a thorough understanding of CCTV monitoringsystems at all locations and reports any interruptions inservice Maintains communications equipment and understands basictroubleshooting instructions relating to dispatch specific softwareto prevent interruptions in service Proficient in the use of hotel service software Passes a Security department approved Dispatcher certificationtest Other duties as assignedSupportive Functions andResponsibilities Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problemsand/or unusual matters of significance Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management andfellow employees Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotelstandards Complies with required safety regulations and procedures Attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment andwork area Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules Recycles whenever possible Remains current with hotel information and changes Complies with hotel uniform and groomingstandardsQualifications High School diploma or equivalent Excellent observation, communication, guest service and reportwriting skills Minimum two years previous Security experience in largeconvention hotel environment Possess, Class “D” Security license, CPR and First Aidcertification, or ability to obtain Ability to speak, read and write English fluently Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends andholidays
