Job Description

Delivery Service Manager / Dispatch Coordinator (6820) 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars North Port, FL Town & Country Industries (TCI), an ABC Supply Company and wholesale distributor of aluminum products and building supplies, is seeking a logistics professional to join its team. In this role, the Delivery Services Manager oversees warehouse and delivery operations. This includes but is not limited to scheduling and routing product deliveries, providing direction to the warehouse team, coordinating fleet maintenance, updating customers on delivery statuses, and ensuring safety and compliance.

Specific duties may include:

Scheduling and routing product deliveries Making sure trucks are not overloaded and that all loads fall within standard weight limits for each vehicle Assessing job site delivery requirements and assigning appropriate delivery vehicles Resolving all vehicle safety issues by routing vehicles to the appropriate service facilities for needed repairs Keeping customers informed of delivery status Ensuring all Federal and State programs are being trained and followed, including but not limited to: OHSA, CSA, DOT, DVIR, HOS and others as assigned by the branch manager and or NSC. Participating in the hiring of drivers and material handlers, as well as their performance management Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the warehouse Coordinating fleet maintenance and ensuring all repairs are completed properly Scheduling new equipment training for drivers and ensuring they are fully certified to operate the equipment Ensuring that all drivers’ licenses are current and informing drivers when their licenses or medical cards need to be updated Additional duties as assigned Specific qualifications include: Previous experience in a warehouse or dispatch leadership role Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proven leadership experience Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry Ability to lift up to 75lbs Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple service needs simultaneously Mechanical knowledge is a plus Benefits may include: Health, dental, and vision coverage – eligible after 60 days, low out of pocket 401(k) with generous company match – eligible after 60 days, immediately vested Employer paid employee assistance program Employer paid short term and long term disability Employer paid life insurance Flex spending Paid vacation Paid sick days Paid holidays Equal Opportunity Employer / Drug Free Workplace ABC Supply values diversity and we actively encourage women, minorities, and veterans to apply
