Chief Dispatcher Position Available In Chatham, Georgia

Position Summary The Chief Dispatcher is responsible for a variety of tasks related to the daily operations of the department. They are responsible for monitoring staff performance to include time and attendance, skill checklists, annual educational requirements and scheduling any required classes. The chief dispatchers are also responsible for making and maintaining staff schedules, monitoring daily staffing needs and adjusting staff levels based on volume. The chief dispatcher must have a working knowledge of all departmental and hospital policies and procedures and ensure compliance to each. Must also have excellent organizational and communication skills with and emphasis on problem solving and conflict resolution. Education High School Diploma – Preferred Experience None Required License & Certification None Required Core Job Functions Monitors staffing levels continuously to cover department. Calls in additional staff as needed or send staff home early based on need. Monitors job performance of staff to ensure meeting productivity. Attendance records are maintained for all co-workers. Completes staff schedule by due date for manager review. Reviews payroll each week. Monitors supplies weekly and orders as appropriate. Trip sheets are ordered and kept in stock at all times. Initiates the orientation process for all new hires. Meets with preceptors and new hires to determine need for additional training. Completes annual competency checklist prior to evaluation due date for each co-worker.
