NEMT Dispatcher Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT)

Operations Manager Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Dispatcher to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coordinating transportation services, managing driver schedules, and ensuring timely and safe transport of patients to and from medical appointments. Your role will be critical in delivering a smooth, efficient, and compassionate experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate daily routes and schedules for NEMT drivers based on patient appointments, traffic patterns, and vehicle availability. Dispatch vehicles in real-time, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of passengers. Use dispatching software and GPS systems to optimize routes and improve efficiency. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with healthcare facilities, clients, and families. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, ADA, DOT, and local transportation regulations. Collaborate with operations and support teams to maintain a high standard of service.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in NEMT or a related dispatching/logistics role. Strong knowledge of regional geography and traffic patterns. Proficient with dispatching and scheduling software (e.g., Routific, TripMaster, MediRoutes, etc.). Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle high call volumes. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if needed. High school diploma or GED required; additional training or certifications in transportation logistics a plus.
