Courier Dispatch Manager Various Chamblee, GA 30341 Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatch Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of courier dispatch services, ensuring that deliveries are dispatched efficiently and reach customers on time. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to solve real-time issues, and the capacity to manage a fast-paced, high-volume courier environment. The Courier Dispatch Manager leads the dispatch team, optimizes courier routes, and ensures that service standards are maintained while meeting customer demands. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dispatching, and optimizing driver routes. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to analyze data effectively to optimize our dispatch operations. This position will work with the existing management team to learn all aspects of the company’s operations. It is important that the individual can handle multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately recall and document appropriate information as needed. Ensuring that the structure, processes, procedures and resources are operating effectively to achieve optimal employee performance and customer service levels.

Responsibilities Manage Courier Dispatch Operations :

Oversee and coordinate the daily dispatch of couriers for parcel deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate service.

Team Leadership :

Supervise and manage a team of dispatchers and couriers, providing training, support, and performance management while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Route Optimization :

Create and adjust delivery routes for couriers based on volume, customer requirements, and traffic patterns to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely deliveries.

Real-Time Issue Resolution :

Act as the main point of contact for couriers and customers, resolving delays, rerouting couriers, and troubleshooting service issues in real time.

Workload Planning & Scheduling :

Allocate deliveries and workloads to couriers, ensuring adequate coverage for peak times and high-demand shifts.

Customer Service :

Ensure that customer requests, complaints, and service issues are addressed promptly and professionally, aiming to exceed customer expectations.

Compliance :

Ensure that all couriers comply with local, state, and federal transportation regulations and company policies, including safety standards and driving regulations.

Technology Utilization :

Use courier dispatch management software, GPS tracking, and mobile apps to track deliveries, optimize performance, and monitor courier activity.

Performance Monitoring :

Analyze delivery performance metrics such as on-time delivery rates, route efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Provide regular reports and suggest improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

Collaborate with recruiting, sales, and operations teams to ensure seamless coordination of delivery services and exceptional customer experiences. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience in a courier dispatch or logistics management role, with experience managing teams and coordinating high-volume, time-sensitive deliveries. In-depth knowledge of courier dispatch operations, route planning, and delivery technology (e.g., GPS tracking, dispatch software). Strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Ability to adapt to changing demands and work under pressure. Proficiency in MS Office and courier management software. Strong analytical skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders. Proficient in data entry and maintaining accurate records within logistics systems.
