Pay Range 23 to 27 We are seeking a Dispatcher to join the company, a premier supplier, in Fairburn, GA

Qualifications:
  • Coordinate driver activities and shuttle assignments to resolve service issues and minimize overtime, downtime, and hours of service violations.
  • Complete attendance trackers and verify that drivers are using Omnitracs properly.
  • Ensure that customer’s needs are being met in a prompt and professional manner and
  • escalate issues (late dispatch, breakdown, other service failures) to managers and sales force.
  • Reassign routes as needed to solve service issues , and ensure that drivers are
  • logging in and utilizing Proof of Delivery scanner.
  • Coordinate trailer, tractor, and backhaul assignments to support efficient logistics operations.
  • Visually inspect each driver’s appearance to verify that drivers are in proper uniform and have required PPE.
  • Notify the manager / supervisor in charge and the safety specialist in the event of a vehicle accident or driver injury.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements:
  • Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent telephone and customer service ability.
  • Math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel,
  • Access, and Outlook.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking abilities to solve problems of limited scope.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support others in the department and division.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior dispatcher experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service Regulations and driver logs.
  • Knowledge of our geographic delivery area.
