YOU MUST HAVE WORKED AS A TOW TRUCK DISPATCHER, DISPLAY STRONG CLERICAL, TYPING, DATA ENTRY SKILLS.
This position is not the same as a clerical dispatcher or ambulance dispatcher. You must be able to come in with experience and do the job, this is a semi trainable position. -JOB DESCRIPTION-
- Essential Functions
- Primary responsibility: tow dispatching: Process tow paperwork/invoices Actions include (Primary Job)
- Process tow paperwork and maintain compliance with all requirements for the laws of towing and impoundment. Make sure drivers turn in their loads.
- Accounts Payable
- Take incoming calls for towing service, police impounds, and accidents.
- Coordinate and dispatch drivers to scene
- Take incoming calls for impound release questions that relate specifically to the laws relating to towing and impoundment
- Perform releases and cashier duties for impounded vehicles with potentially dishonest, demanding, and challenging customers.
- Administrative and clerical duties.
- Abandoned vehicle auction management.
- Billing and collection of towing services.
- Cash and deposit management.
Additional Requirements:
§ Emergency call center or dispatch experience. § 2 years of comparable work experience § Keyboarding 50 words per minute. § Excellent computer skills. § Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and very organized. § Strong desire to help people and solve challenging problems. § Able to work under pressure § Knowledgeable in reading maps, understanding geographical areas § Reliable and punctual A MUST! § Basic spelling and mathematical skills (must know how to add and subtract efficiently) § Computer literate; Outlook, Word, Excel, Tow book, Quick book § Data Entry Skills
