POSITION PURPOSE

The Dispatcher oversees the scheduling, staging, tracking, and reporting of the Division’s daily activity and coordinates this activity with customers and Division employees. This position assists with getting work crews, equipment, and materials to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications or needs. The Dispatcher alsopletes several administrative tasks for the Division.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Employee shall perform all duties and responsibilities with Sunland’s Core Values at the forefront.
Must be an advocate of safety and follow safety policies and procedures.
Schedule and assign work crews, vehicles, and equipment for projects daily.
Coordinate operations between customers and departments.
Receive and prepare work orders.
Order materials and/or subcontractors to performplete jobs.
Monitor job progress and assist with maintaining production schedule. .
Relaypletion dates to Accounting and Sales.
Process production accounts payable invoices promptly and accurately.
Maintain written logs, files, andputer documentation regarding projects.
Relay work orders, messages, and information to, or from, work crews and supervisors.
Confer with customers or supervising personnel in order to address questions, problems and requests.
Act as liaison between own division/supervisor and others, such as other departments, external contacts, clients, etc.
Handle questions andplaints from customers and/or employees.
May perform basic administrative and clerical functions, which could include filing, copying, binding reports, simple typing, etc.
Assist with new hire paperwork and coordinating orientation.
Assist with Division training.
Act as the point of contact for Division employees.

    This position is considered a safety-sensitive position and is subject to thepany’s drug and alcohol policy, as well as all OHSA regulations.

All employees must wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Serves as a safety ambassador byplying with federal, state, and local laws, as well as Company safety policy, enforces safe work practices, and proactively identifies and remedies worksite hazards.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in a professional office environment that routinely uses standard office equipment requiring the ability tomunicate in person and over the telephone with other employees, the ability to interpret ed materials and aputer screen, the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, the ability to lift and carry supplies and files weighing up to 10 pounds and to move about the inside of the office to access supplies, office machinery, etc.
May be required to work on a project site and if so, would be exposed to all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
Employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other air-borne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Occasional overtime may be required as job duties demand.
TRAVEL
No travel required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Work Experience
High School Diploma or GED required.
One (1) to three (3) years industry related experience preferred.
Proficient at Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
Strongputer, written and oral skills required.
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
Strong critical thinking skills.
Must be fluent in English, i.e., must be able to speak, read and write English.
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check is required.
