Job Description
The Brockton Public Schools seeks a full-time Transportation Dispatcher who, under general supervision, establishes and coordinates assignments, scheduling, and routing of all transportation vehicles.
Minimum requirements:
High School Graduate or equivalent and one year of related experience.
Valid Massachusetts Class B with a P Endorsement Driver’s License and a CDL bus driver endorsement, A DMV H-6 printout is
required prior to employment.
Two years of school bus transportation or related field.
Three years’ experience in record keeping.
Public school district experience is desirable
Special education dispatch experience is preferred.
Second Language Ability Preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform a wide variety of specialized duties related with the safe and efficient operation of a comprehensive school bus
operation.
Other responsibilities include: the dispatch of transportation vehicles for trips and other special events, coordinates use of district
school busses and vans, update transportation databases and arrange for substitute drivers.
Knowledgeable of rules and regulations applicable to the operation of school buses and transporting of students and methods of
scheduling and dispatching a school transportation fleet. Assist in planning safe and efficient bus routes and schedules.
One shift from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm
One Split shift from 6:00 am to 9:00 am and 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Brockton residency required within one year of employment.
