First level technical position responsible for communicating with and dispatching public safety personnel. Incumbents respond to the emergency and distress calls; dispatch public safety personnel/officers; respond to inquiries by the public and other public safety agencies; interacting with city, county, state, and federal public safety personnel; and maintaining records of all dispatches. What you’ll need to be Successful Listening and Verbal Communication; Dependability; Emotional Control; Multi-tasking; Documentation. Preferred Qualifications Typically requires Graduation from high school or equivalent and 0-1 years of experience.
