HINDS COUNTY.

First level supervisory position is responsible for the management of dispatch and emergency communications personnel. Incumbents are responsible for training and managing lower-level dispatchers and communicators. At this level, incumbents exercise independent judgment and discretion in decision-making and knowledge of procedures and protocol. May establish and/or implement policies for completion of the required tasks. Trains all lower-level staff on established procedures. What you’ll need to be Successful Decision Making Skills, Great Communication Skills, Compassion, Ability to Multi-Task, Ability to work with a team., Emotional Control and great Organizational Skills. Preferred Qualifications Requires graduation from high school or equivalent and 3-5 years of experience.

Agency qualifications:

Also, must be NCIC Certified (National Criminal Information Center) and familiar with the CAD System (Computer Aided Dispatch) and Omnix System.
