In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the movement of goods by connecting shippers with carriers, ensuring timely and efficient transportation solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills and a solid understanding of the logistics industry, including experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and third-party logistics (3PL). Duties Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to create a reliable network for freight transportation. Negotiate pricing and contracts to secure competitive rates for shipping services. Utilize logistics software and Transportation Management Systems to manage shipments effectively. Generate leads through various channels to expand the customer base and identify new business opportunities. Coordinate the movement of freight from origin to destination, ensuring compliance with all regulations. Monitor shipment progress and address any issues that may arise during transit. Provide exceptional customer service by keeping clients informed about their shipments and addressing any concerns promptly. Requirements Proven experience in freight brokerage or a related field within the logistics industry. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms for both shippers and carriers. Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and logistics software is essential. Knowledge of third-party logistics (3PL) operations is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and partners. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in lead generation and sales within the freight or logistics sector is advantageous. Understanding of contract management processes related to freight transportation, including NVOCC regulations, is a plus.
