Dispatcher/Office Assistant Joseph Rose Plumbing 1015 Ellis Road, Durham, NC 27703 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting daily operations by managing administrative tasks efficiently. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. If you have a background in logistics or transportation management, we encourage you to apply. Duties Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and accurate handling of packages. Perform data entry tasks, maintaining accurate records and databases. Manage phone communications with clients and vendors, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Utilize GPS and transportation management systems to track shipments and manage logistics effectively. Support fleet management activities, ensuring vehicles are properly maintained and scheduled for use. Collaborate with team members to optimize operational workflows and improve efficiency. Use software tools such as QuickBooks and House Call Pro for various administrative functions. Conduct geographic information system (GIS) analysis as needed to support logistics planning. Requirements Proven experience in an office environment, preferably within logistics or transportation sectors. Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Familiarity with GPS technology and transportation management systems is a plus. Experience with QuickBooks and/or House Call Pro is preferred. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
