Dispatcher D.C. Express, Inc. 69 King Street, Dover, NJ 07801 Overview We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The Dispatcher will play a crucial role in coordinating the movement of freight and ensuring timely deliveries. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to analyze data effectively to optimize routes and schedules. The ideal candidate will have experience with GPS technology and logistics software, such as Digital Waybill, to facilitate smooth operations within the supply chain. Duties Coordinate and schedule freight deliveries, ensuring timely dispatch of vehicles. Utilize GPS systems to monitor routes and provide real-time updates to drivers. Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders to relay important information regarding schedules and any changes. Analyze data related to delivery performance and logistics operations for continuous improvement. Perform data entry tasks related to dispatching activities, maintaining accurate records of shipments and schedules. Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure all logistical needs are met efficiently. Manage any issues that arise during the dispatch process, providing solutions in a timely manner. Skills Proficient in using GPS technology for route optimization. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with drivers and clients. Experience with Digital Waybill or similar logistics software is preferred. Ability to analyze logistical data for improved operational efficiency. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail. Prior experience in dispatching or logistics is a plus.
